The first piece from the Animal Chair collection, this design is both fantastical and disturbing, like something out of a gothic version of Pirates of the Caribbean. And I can't help imagining how mindblowing it would be to use this as a piano bench for a baby grand!

A friend of mine just bought a new home and has been looking at furniture, which inspired me to take a gander at some pretty pieces myself. If I had a place, I think I would get two of these chairs and place them just like in this photo, but maybe with something decorative in between like a tall vase or a little table.

I love it when something old is justaposed with something new, particularly when that something is repurposed and given a new life. This antique cast iron bath tub has been cleverly reincarnated as a loveseat and although I wonder how comfortable it is, I must say it is one sexy conversation starter.

Sometimes there are truly intelligent innovations that make life simpler. When installed, this table leg functions like a power bar and eliminates the mess of electrical cords and extensions. My computer desk could sure use one or two!
